Lisa Boneta was born and raised in New York. She graduated from Manhattan College in May 2018 with her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. While at Manhattan College, Lisa served as President for the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu Gamma Alpha Chapter and was a member of Tau Beta Pi. She was a research scholar at Manhattan College and did research encompassing vehicle collision avoidance, catastrophic convolutional codes, polarimetry and 3D segmentation of vertebrae. She is the main author on “Simultaneous Segmentation and Registration of Vertebral Bodies for Accurate BMD Measurements," 2017 IEEE International Conference on Imaging Systems and Techniques IST 2017. After graduation, Lisa joined IBM as a Software Developer working on IBM Z Systems. Following IBM, she joined UiPath where she was a Product Manager for their business automation platform. Much of Lisa’s writing interest falls in the intersection of technology and its societal impact. She believes that innovation should always be met with social and environmental consciousness.
