NXP i.MX RT Crossover Processors
NXP’s i.MX RT Crossover Processors are designed as a new class of embedded processor that combines the ease-of-use and real-time operation of microcontrollers with the performance and integration of application processors. The i.MX RT is based on the high-performance ARM Cortex-M7 with advanced multimedia, external memory, wired, and wireless interfaces and security functions. The processors are built on the same advanced process nodes as APUs, and eliminate on-chip flash in favor of tightly coupled SRAM. This increases performance while lowering cost. An internal DC/DC converter and low-power run modes enable low-power operation, and developers can leverage all of this functionality with familiar MCU toolchains.
