Panasonic Grid-EYE Infrared Array Sensors
Panasonic second generation Grid-EYE infrared array sensors measure temperatures and temperature gradients, enabling people counting, positioning, and movement direction without the privacy concerns of conventional cameras.
Targeting more sophisticated building automation systems, Grid-EYE sensors consist of 64 thermopile elements in an 8 x 8 array with a 60° viewing angle. The use of an array enables Grid-EYE sensors to detect objects at rest and gesture controls, which can’t be done with single-element PIR solutions.
This is the second generation of the product, improving resolution and accuracy while also increasing detection distance for more robust detection at up to 10 frames per second.
- Detection types:
- Moving object
- Motionless object
