Polyacene and Lithium-Ion Supercapacitors
TAIYO YUDEN polyacene and lithium ion supercapacitors are environmentally friendly and provide up to 270 F of capacitance in a cylindrical package. Both types of supercaps provide high reliability at high operating temperatures and up to 100,000 charge cycles.
The LA and LAS series of polyacene capacitors are available up to 20 F and 3 V, with low internal resistance allowing for quick charging and making them suitable for energy-harvesting applications and backup power for CPUs and memory devices.
R and RS series lithium-ion capacitors are a hybrid technology between traditional supercaps and lithium-ion batteries, providing high energy density, low self discharge, and high cycle life.
R and RS series supercaps are available up to 270 F and 3.8 V and can be used as a stand-alone power source or in load leveling applications.
