TI TMP116

TI’s TMP116 is a low-power, high-accuracy digital temperature sensor that consumes less power and is easier to use than RTDs. The TMP116 is more accurate than a Class A RTD, as accurate as ±0.2°C without calibration. The device consumes just 3.5 µA with a 1 Hz conversion cycle and 250 nA in shutdown, which reduces self-heating and contributes to the high accuracy. It offers I2C and SMBus interface compatibility with up to 4 devices on a bus and has programmable temperature alert limits that can trigger an MCU interrupt. Integrated EEPROM stores power-on-reset configuration values. The TMP116 and TMP116N offer NIST traceability and are ideal for environmental monitoring, wearables, asset tracking, and as RTD replacements.
