Dr. Thomas Blasius Senior Director Application Marketing & Management Dr. Thomas Blasius holds a PhD in physics and has more than 20 years' experience in Automotive Industry. He joint Infineon Automotive 2005 as marketing manager for High Current PROFET and introduced 2008 - 2010 the first power distribution application. Since 2021, he is Senior Director Automotive Application Marketing & Management for Power Distribution Systems and Zone Controllers in the E/E Architecture.
Bernd Hettich Senior Manager Product Marketing Microcontroller Bernd Hettich has a degree in physics and an MBA. He has been with Infineon since 2019. In his previous positions he worked as System Marketer for Industrial Motor Control and Product Manager for radar sensors. Since 2023, Bernd is Product Marketer & Senior Manager for AURIX™ TC4x Microcontroller and owns the Zone application within the microcontroller product line.

The automotive E/E Architecture is in a transformation to a zonal architecture. While the Power Distribution is electrified and decentralized, the In Vehicle Network is centralized to central car computers. Common for both are the introduction of zonal ECUs. In this webinar, you will get a short warmup on such Zone Control Units with a closer look on the microcontrollers inside and a special focus on the Infineon AURIX™ microcontrollers. In addition to the existing AURIX™ TC3x family we will provide an outlook on the soon-to-be-released AURIX™ TC4x family and in particular its strengths as Zone Controller.
