AD4000 SAR ADCs
Analog Devices' AD4000 family of SAR ADCs (successive approximation register analog-to-digital converters) enable higher density, less complex signal chains that operate at lower power.
Available in differential and psuedo-differential variants, the ADCs feature a High-Z mode and long acquisition phase that reduces charge kickback, input current, and driver settling requirements. This allows for lower-power amplifiers in place of traditional ADC drivers and provides stability improvements.
Input span compression reduces complexity by eliminating the need for a negative supply and allowing the use of common voltage rails without compromising the ADC code range. This family of ADCs is suited for automatic test equipment, machine automation, medical equipment, and battery-powered acquisition systems.
