ANALOG DEVICES INC. LTC2688 16-Bit Voltage Output DAC

The Analog Devices LTC2688 is a 16-channel, 16-bit DAC with integrated precision reference to improve the accuracy of the outputs.

The DAC features independently programmable channels, with five output ranges from 0 V up to ±15 V. Offering monotonic stability, the LTC2688 includes built-in rail-to-rail output buffers that can source or sink up to ±20 mA.

The LTC2688 also offers external reference for additional range options and an analog multiplexer to simplify measurement of pin voltages, load currents, and junction temperature. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) and MICROWIRE™-compatible, 3-wire serial interface operates on logic levels as low as 1.71 V and clock rates up to 50 MHz.

The LTC2688 is supported by the DC2873A-B evaluation board that enables designers to use Analog Devices’ Analysis, Control, Evaluation (ACE) software to configure and control the onboard LTC2688 DAC.
