AVX / Kyocera micro wire-to-board connectors are designed for use in mobile and other space-limited devices.

This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Micro Wire-to-Board Connectors

AVX/Kyocera micro wire-to-board connectors are designed for use in mobile and other space-limited devices. Each of the series addresses the needs of different high-density applications so designers can use an optimized connector, with pitch ranging from 0.9 to 1.25 mm and heights from 0.9 to 3.6mm.

The connectors support currents up to 1 A and can miniaturize existing designs or replace discretely soldered wires where standard connectors couldn’t be used. The connectors have a multi-point insulator locking structure that provides a tactile click during mating and is designed to ensure the connectors remain mated under shock and vibration.

  • Wire size: 32 AWG
  • Rated voltage: 30 VDC
  • 8000 series: Larger housing for easier manual mating/separation
  • 8005 series: Vertical or right-angle mating
  • 8040 series: Contact tail design protects against solder wicking
  • 8041 series: 0.9 mm pitch and height
    • Smallest wire-to-board connector
