AAC’s Digital Datasheet video series introduces the specs and applications of components—both new and familiar—straight from their datasheets.

Coilcraft XGL Family Automotive-grade Molded Power Inductors

Coilcraft XGL family of automotive-grade molded power inductors deliver the lowest losses in applications such as DC-DC converters, supporting switching frequencies from the hundreds of kHz to 5+ MHz.

The XGL family includes inductors from 82 nH to 47 microhenries in packages from 3.65 x 3.35mm to 6.91 x 6.71 mm and with heights from 1.2 to 6.1 mm. They have saturation current ratings as high as 43 A, with a soft saturation characteristic to withstand high current spikes. The XGL family offers the industry’s lowest DCR values and ultra-low AC losses over a wide frequency range, leading to more efficient operation and less self-heating.

The composite construction minimizes audible buzzing and is magnetically shielded. The inductors are AEC-Q200 qualified and rated for operation in ambient temperatures up to 125°C.  For free evaluation samples and complete technical specs, visit coilcraft.com
