Digi International's ConnectCore 6UL SBC Pro

Digi International's ConnectCore 6UL SBC Pro is a highly flexible Pico-ITX single board computer for developing or deploying powerful, secure, and connected devices.

The board has a whole host of communication interfaces. These include pre-certified 802.11 A/B/G/N/AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, including Bluetooth Low Energy, with onboard antennas. And the pre-certification shortens development time and cost. There's also an NFC forum type 2 compliant tag and an XBee socket so that you can add XBee and other 802.15.4 protocols. That socket can also be used to add the pre-certified XBee cellular modem. Alternatively, cellular connectivity can be added using third-party modems in the PCIe mini card socket. For applications requiring wired connectivity, you also have dual 100 Mbps Ethernet ports, USB and USB-OTG. And all of this is in the 100-millimeter by 72-millimeter Pico-ITX form factor.

Whenever you have connectivity, device security is critical and it's often complex, but Digi's TrustFence Device Security Framework actually makes it very simple. It provides secure boot, storage, and communications, data authentication, device identity management, and hardware port protection, all with zero implementation effort by the developer

At the heart of the board is the ConnectCore 6UL System-on-Module. That includes an NXP i.MX6UL with an ARM Cortex-A7 running at 528 MHz, 256 MB of DDR3, and 256 MB of SLC flash. The board also includes 4 GB of eMMC and a micro-SD card slot for additional storage.

There are also audio, video, and expansion interfaces, and a Yocto-project Linux board support package. This gives you enough computing power, connectivity options, and expandability for all kinds of intelligent, connected devices.
