November 12, 2017 by Mouser Electronics

KEMET automotive-grade MLCCs are AEC-Q200 qualified capacitors that operate reliably and predictably with respect to temperature, time, and voltage.

This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

KEMET Automotive-Grade MLCCs

KEMET automotive-grade MLCCs are AEC-Q200 qualified capacitors that operate reliably and predictably with respect to temperature, time, and voltage. High-voltage capacitors with a C0G dielectric are available with voltage ratings up to 3000 V, while standard C0G capacitors are rated up to 200 V. Both are temperature compensating over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range and offer extremely low ESR and ESL, ideal for critical timing and tuning circuits, or where low loss or pulse handling is necessary. KEMET also offers automotive-grade MLCCs with an X7R dielectric and higher capacitance values that can be used for decoupling, bypass, filtering, and transient suppression.

  • Temperature Range: -55°C to +125°C
  • High Voltage C0G MLCCs: Up to 3 kVDC
    • Capacitance: 1 pF to 0.150 µF
  • C0G MLCCs: Up to 200 VDC
    • Capacitance: 0.5 pF to 0.47 µF
  • X7R MLCCs: Up to 200 VDC
    • Capacitance: 150 pF to 22 µF
