Littelfuse MHP-TAT18 Hybrid PPTC Resettable PTCs

The Littelfuse MHP-TAT18 is a metal hybrid PPTC. They are miniature resettable thermal cutoff devices that provide overcurrent and overtemperature protection to help meet battery safety requirements for lithium polymer and prismatic batteries. The MHP-TAT18 is available with multiple activation temperatures from 72°C to 90°C and has an 18 A hold current rating that is higher than typical MHP-TAM devices. This is complemented by low leakage current and low resistance to minimize the impact to battery life. The device has a small footprint and measures just 1.05 mm high, providing a lower profile than MHP-TAM devices, enabling the ultra-thin battery packs demanded in gaming and notebook PCs, ultrabooks, tablets, and other portable devices.

  • Activation temperature: 72°C, 77°C, 82°C, 85°C, 90°C
  • Reset temperature: ≥40°C
  • Hold current: 18 A @ 25°C
  • Max leakage current: 200 mA @ 25°C
  • Resistance: 3.5 mΩ max
  • Dimensions: 5.8 mm x 3.80 mm x 1.05 mm
