Littelfuse P-S4-LRP 100A SIDACtor® Protection Thyristor

Littelfuse P-S4-LRP 100A SIDACtor Protection Thyristors are designed to protect video equipment and other low voltage communications interfaces from overvoltage transients. The thyristor has a 6V minimum operating voltage and low voltage overshoot. It is rated for 100A surge peak current capability, and the surge handling capability doesn’t degrade even after multiple events within its rating.

In the event of a surge in excess of the device limits, the thyristor will fail into a short circuit to ensure downstream devices are protected. The P-S4-LRP 100A SIDACtor has junction capacitance below 30pF, making it well-suited for 4.43MHz CVBS signals without compromising signal integrity. The compact, surface-mount package makes it easy to design it into a PCB layout.

  • 6V minimum operating voltage
  • Low voltage overshoot
  • Surge rating: 100A peak, 5/310µs waveform
  • Does not degrade surge capability after multiple surge events within the limit
  • Fails short circuit when surged in excess of ratings
  • Junction capacitance: <30pF
