MAXREFDES130 Building Automation Shield
Maxim’s MAXREFDES130 is a building automation shield for prototyping with Arduino and mbed platforms. The board includes ten analog outputs and separate 4-20 mA input and output.
A 1-wire master enables expansion of the capabilities, including the addition of Maxim’s MAXREFDES131 Grid-EYE sensor board, which can be used to add presence sensing, people counting, and gesture feedback to a design.
Daisy-chaining and remote placement allow multiple sensors to be placed throughout a building. The building automation shield includes multiple latching and non-latching relays that allow users to integrate existing, legacy equipment, including temperature control and AC loads, into a modern control and communication system.
