NXP’s NHS3100 Starter Development Kit is used for designing time-temperature integrators for cold chain validation and other temperature logging applications.

This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

NHS3100 Starter Development Kit

NXP’s NHS3100 Starter Development Kit is used for designing time-temperature integrators for cold chain validation and other temperature logging applications. The development kit includes the NXP LPC-Link2 board for debug access, and the NHS3100 demo board, which includes a coin cell battery holder for standalone use and can be used with the corresponding Android app over NFC to set interval and alarm parameters and read data.

The NHS3100 IC includes an internal temperature sensor, ARM Cortex-M0+, real-time clock, NFC interface, and memory for data, event logging, and time and temperature algorithms. It has many optimizations to reduce power consumption in battery-powered applications, including support for NFC Field power supplies.

  • NHS3100 Demo Board
    • Integrated NFC Antenna
    • Coin cell battery holder
  • NHS3100
    • Temperature sensor: ±0.3°C accuracy (0°C to 40°C)
    • ARM Cortex-M0+ at up to 8 MHz
    • GPIOs: Up to 12, programmable pull-up/pull-down resistors
