OSRAM Duris S 8 LEDs are multichip devices that enable lower cost lighting solutions and provide high luminous flux in a compact SMT package.

This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

OSRAM Duris S 8 LEDs

OSRAM Duris S 8 LEDs are multichip devices that enable lower cost lighting solutions and provide high luminous flux in a compact SMT package. Duris S 8 LEDs offer luminous flux ratings from 370 to 610 lumens in a single 5 x 5 mm package with a small light emitting surface. This improves optical performance over clusters of mid-power LEDs and simplifies optics and electrical designs while improving efficacy.

Duris S 8 LEDs are available with forward voltages up to 31 volts, enabling lower cost, higher efficiency drivers to be used. The devices also have a low thermal resistance that permits operation at higher temperature and reduces heat sink size and cost. OSRAM Duris S 8 LEDs are ideal for directional lights, direction and non-directional retrofits, and clusters with high luminous flux, such as high bay lights.
