AAC’s Digital Datasheet video series introduces the specs and applications of components—both new and familiar—straight from their datasheets.

Panasonic ERA-xV Series Thin Film Chip Resistors

Panasonic’s ERA V Series of Thin Film Chip Resistors provide dependable, accurate, and reliable performance in extremely hazardous and challenging application environments in applications such as battery management systems and motor control for automotive and alternative energy systems.

The ERA V Series features a gold inner terminal with a soft outer terminal for reliability and stability in high temperature and high humidity environments. We are improving our manufacturing process by going from a 3um to a 0.5um grain diameter Alumina substrate to prevent current concentrations which gives better ESD handling, meeting the AEC-Q200 HBM ESD test requirements. ERA V Series Resistors range in size from 0402 to 0805 and are available from 47 ohms to 100 kiloohms, with tolerance as low as 0.05 percent.

ERA K Series Resistors offer the same performance capabilities and extend the resistance range to up to 750 kiloohms.
