This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.
RECOM RPX-4.0 Integrated Inductor DC-DC Buck Converter
RECOM Power’s RPX-4.0 is a buck converter with an integrated inductor in a compact 5mm x 5.5mm x 4.1mm thermally-enhanced QFN package.
These DC-DC Buck Converters feature a 3.8VDC to 36VDC input range that allows for 5V, 12V, or 24V supply voltages. The output voltage can be set with two resistors in the range from 1 up to 7VDC.
Built on flip-chip technology for improved thermal behavior, the RPX-4.0 features a built-in soft start and enable control as well as a power good signal that indicates whether the output voltage is within its regulation range.
The output current is up to 4A and is fully protected against continuous short-circuits, output overcurrent, or over-temperature faults, making the device particularly suitable for industrial automation, test and measurement, portable devices, and high density or weight-sensitive applications.
