Renesas Electronics RA Family Arm Cortex Microcontrollers

Renesas Electronics RA family of Arm Cortex Microcontrollers are designed with the performance and features to enable a secure, connected and intelligent IoT devices and smart factory equipment.

The RA family is offered with Arm Cortex-M23, -M33, and M4 cores that operate at up to 200MHz, offering developers a scalable solution to address different performance and power consumption requirements without rewriting code. The RA family is divided into groups that offer features such as capacitive touch sensing units, secure crypto engines, and display controllers.

The RA family is supported by an open and flexible ecosystem using FreeRTOS as a base and includes pre-developed building blocks that make it easy to add connectivity, AI, machine learning, and other capabilities.

  • Based on next-generation Arm Cortex-M23/M33 cores and Cortex-M4 core
  • Easy scalability and code reuse across devices
  • MCU groups ranging from low power to high performance
  • Secure Crypto Engine IP provides embedded hardware security
  • Flexible Software Package (FSP) uses FreeRTOS as a base
  • Pre-developed building blocks for connectivity, AI, machine learning, and more
