RICOH ELECTRONICS RP122Z Series Low Dropout (LDO) Regulators

Rircoh Electronic Devices’ RP122Z Series LDO Regulators are designed to power noise-sensitive circuits in battery-powered devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and RF modules.

The RP122Z have 90dB ripple rejection and 8µV output noise, making them ideal for wireless radios, audio peripherals, and timing circuits. The regulator saves PCB area as its low output noise eliminates the need for an output filter capacitor and it’s housed in a tiny 0.64 mm x 0.64 mm 4-ball WLCSP. The RP122Z series also has a very low supply current of just 9.5µA to help extend battery life.

The device operates from a 1.9V to 5.5V supply and is available with a fixed output from 1.2V to 4.8V at 0.1V steps and with ±0.8% output voltage accuracy.

  • High ripple rejection:
    • 1kHz : 90dB
    • 10kHz: 85dB
    • 100kHz: 65dB
  • Low output noise: 8µVRMS
    • No need for output filter capacitor
  • Package: WLCSP-4-P8
    • Dimensions: 0.64mm x 0.64mm x 0.4mm
  • Supply current: 9.5µA
    • Standby current: 0.01µA
  • Input Voltage Range: 1.9V to 5.5V
  • Output Voltage Range: 1.2V to 4.8V (0.1V step)
    • Accuracy: ±0.8% (VSET ≥ 1.8 V, Ta = 25°C)
