ROHM Automotive LED Drivers

ROHM automotive LED drivers include boost, buck-boost, constant current, and serial-in parallel-out variants. The wide range of options and packages can be used to address lighting needs throughout the vehicle, including exterior lighting, interior lighting, status indicators, instrument cluster backlighting and LCD backlighting, and others.

The ICs are AEC-Q100 qualified and rated for operation from -40°C up to +125°C. The family includes multi-channel drivers as well as 50V tolerant drivers for applications subjected to load dump transients or other large transient voltages. ROHM also offers drivers with PWM dimming and a number of protection features, including LED open and short detection that can disable the output in the event of an LED failure.
