Semtech’s GS12070 UHD-SDI Gearbox
Semtech’s GS12070 UHD-SDI Gearbox provides rate conversion between quad-link, dual-link, and single-link UHD-SDI interfaces. The GS12070 has four inputs and four outputs, supports conversion between 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G interfaces, and can be used in a bypass mode. The gearbox provides automatic skew compensation up to 800 ns to account for and input link ordering for multi-link inputs, reducing the time spent debugging installations. Output streams can be reordered and unused outputs can be configured to duplicate outputs or route input channels. The GS12070 is designed for UHDTV1 and 4K D-Cinema cameras, monitors, switchers, and UHD-SDI infrastructure.
