This episode of Tech Specs is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

TT Electronics Low Resistance Metal Alloy Power Resistors

TT Electronics Low Resistance Metal Alloy Power Resistors combine long-term stability, low TCR, and low thermal EMF to minimize error. The LRMAP5930 series has values as low as 200 microohms and power ratings up to 10W on FR4, enabling current measurement in excess of 200A.

The shunts have very low thermal resistance and on thermal substrates the power rating increases to a max of 15W. They can also tolerate high surge energy levels for reliable performance with high inrush currents and momentary shorts.

TT Electronics’ LRMAP5930 current shunts are designed for power supplies, battery monitoring, and process control and they’re AEC-Q200 qualified for use in automotive applications.

  • Long-term stability, low TCR, low thermal EMF minimize measurement error
  • Resistance values: 0.2mΩ to 2mΩ, 1% tolerance
  • Up to 10W rating on FR4
  • Up to 15W on thermal substrates (i.e. DBC ceramic and IMS)
  • High surge energy up to 33J
  • AEC-Q200 qualified
