Cool Power ZVS Buck and Buck-Boost Regulators
Vicor Cool Power ZVS Buck and Buck-Boost Regulators are highly integrated system in package regulators that use a zero voltage switching topology for high efficiency conversion. The ZVS topology results in lower switching losses and enables high frequency operation, allowing smaller passives to be used for output filtering, further reducing the power footprint. Cool Power ZVS regulators integrate control, power, and support components and can achieve efficiencies over 98%, with outputs up to 20 A and the ability to operate in parallel with single wire current sharing. Both the Buck and Buck-Boost regulators have wide input voltage ranges, with Cool Power ZVS Buck regulators capable of converting 48 V inputs to 2.5 V outputs, eliminating intermediate conversions in point-of-load power chains.
