Vicor Cool-Power ZVS PI3740 Evaluation Board

Vicor’s Cool-Power ZVS PI3740 evaluation board provides designers many convenient features to simplify evaluating the PI3740 buck-boost regulator. The PI3740 integrates the controller, power switches, and support components in a high density System-in-Package, and it uses a high performance zero-voltage switching topology, enabling high frequency switching and minimizing switching losses. It operates from a wide 8V to 60V input, converting to an adjustable output from 10V to 50V at up to 96% efficiency. The regulator can continuously output up to 140W and can be paralleled with single wire current sharing for larger loads. The evaluation board can be used in constant-voltage or constant-current modes, with selectable high-side or low-side current monitoring.

  • PI-3740-00-LGIZ: highly integrated ZVS buck-boost regulator in 0.4”x0.55” SiP
  • Input voltage: 8V to 60V
  • Output voltage: 10V to 50V
  • Efficiency: up to 96%
  • Continuous output power: up to 140W, parallel capable
  • Access to all I/O pins for monitoring or connecting additional circuitry
