Würth Elektronik Surface Mount Solderable Gaskets

Würth Elektronik WE-SMGS surface mount solderable gaskets are flexible gaskets for use in grounding PCBs to their enclosures or as a flexible connection point to other PCBs and devices.

The WE-SMGS consists of a tin-plated copper layer around a thermally resistant and highly elastic foam. The gaskets offer a wide contact surface and provide a low ohmic contact unaffected by high temperature and mechanical weight, recovering their original shape after being compressed.

The gaskets are designed for pick-and-place assembly, and the thermally resistant foam allows the gaskets to be reflow soldered. WE-SMGS surface mount solderable gaskets are offered in a variety of sizes, with thickness ranging from 2.5mm to 10mm.

  • Low ohmic contact: PCB-to-enclosure, PCB-to-PCB, or PCB-to-external device
  • Construction: tin-plated copper surface layer on thermally-resistant, high elasticity foam
  • Wide contact surface
  • High temperatures and mechanical weight have no influence on the connection properties
  • Designed for pick-and-place assembly
    • Can be reflow soldered
  • Standard sizes ranging from 4mm x 3mm x 2.5mm to 15mm x 10mm x 10mm
