As a Sr. Field Applications Engineer for Samtec, Anthony Fellbaum offers technical consultation and collaboration to help customers identify the ideal high-speed interconnect solution for their application. His design experience with backplanes, high-speed test equipment, RF multiplexers, and FPGAs across the telecom, smartphone and ODM industries uniquely qualify him as a leading technologist. Mr. Fellbaum received his Electrical Engineering degree from Lakehead University and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario in Canada.
An introductory session on signal integrity targeted to those who are looking to get into high-speed design, or may have some high-speed design experience but want to broaden their knowledge. In this session, you will learn about what signal integrity is, the importance of impedance matching, a practical approach to time domain vs. frequency domain, and helpful advice to achieve good signal integrity. We’ll discuss some pitfalls and consequences, misconceptions, and design tips to help achieve a solid high-speed design. We’ll also cover some key resources to help you with your design. By the end of this session, you should have a better understanding on what to look for when evaluating and designing high-speed applications.
