Alex Lidow EPC CEO Alex Lidow is CEO and co-founder of Efficient Power Conversion Corporation (EPC). Prior to founding EPC, Dr. Lidow was CEO of International Rectifier Corporation. A co-inventor of the HEXFET power MOSFET, Dr. Lidow holds many patents in power semiconductor technology and has authored numerous publications on related subjects, including co-authoring the first textbook on GaN transistors, GaN Transistors for Efficient Power Conversion, now in its third edition published by John Wiley and Sons. Lidow earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Caltech and his Ph.D. from Stanford.

Smaller, Faster, More Precise Motor Drives with GaN FETs and ICs

This webinar, hosted by EPC’s CEO Alex Lidow, will demonstrate how GaN FETs and ICs increase motor efficiency, reduce size and weight, improve reliability, and lower cost for motor drives used in micromobility, robotic logistics and drones, and improved precision for medical robotics. GaN-based motor drives can operate at higher frequencies allowing designers to reduce input filters and eliminate electrolytic capacitors for higher reliability, lower-cost designs.  The increased frequency also reduces the size and weight of the design and reduces audible noise.

Join this webinar for an exploration of how to take advantage of the benefits that GaN provides for smaller, faster, more precise motor drives.
