DIGI-KEY PRESENTS: A Versatile and Expandable Proof-of-Concept IoT Kit with Complete Communications Services

In partnership with u-blox

In this webinar, Pelle Svensson and Erik Carlberg, u-blox wireless product experts introduce the XPLR-IOT-1 proof-of-concept development platform. Also, we are pleased that Taoglas members will be joining us in this event to discuss the importance of antenna design and integration. Developing end-products for the always connected world requires access to several different wireless technologies. End-product integration offers technical challenges that need to be mastered. In addition, the ability to do fast prototyping to validate a use case has never been as important as it is today. With the XPLR-IOT-1, the out-of-the-box experience leverages u-blox cloud services and puts Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE-M/NB-IoT connectivity and GNSS positioning at the hands of developers.

The system embeds Taoglas antennas along with many different sensors helping provide best-in-class performance in one diverse product that can be expanded with added external sensors. A dedicated low-power GNSS receiver provides accurate positioning data. It has integrated sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure, ambient light, magnetometer, gyroscope, accelerometer, and battery gauge. Combined with Taoglas antennas, the system is a complete application to cloud kit that can be expanded with multiple sensors. Taoglas played an important role in the development of the XPLR-IOT-1 explorer kit, helping us to optimize its performance.
