DIGI-KEY PRESENTS: CoaXPress: The Best Standard for High-Speed Video and Data Transport Over Long Cables

In partnership with Microchip

High-speed digital Machine vision is integral to efficiency gains in many applications. A few examples are manufacturing and assembly inspection, food processing, medical imaging, and traffic management and control. While human inspectors still have a role to play in judging the quality of workmanship, manufacturers prefer machine vision systems for visual inspections that require high-speed, fast triggering, high precision, high magnification, high resolution, around-the-clock operation, and/or repeatability of measurements. Also, there are places where human inspection just isn’t practical.

This webinar for CoaXPress will introduce you to the product, illustrate a few key applications and identify the types of customers that should be interested in the benefits the product provides. At the end, we’ll show you where to find the information and tools you need to present the products to your customer. Our new EQCO125X40 family of CoaXPress devices is the first to implement the CXP 2.0 standard, keeping pace with leading-edge industrial, embedded, and machine vision application requirements. By leveraging the ability to transmit high-speed, precise imaging with power, control, and low latency over a single coaxial cable at distances of up to 40 meters @12.5Gbps, designers can significantly simplify system designs and reduce overall costs. An integrated clock-data-recovery allows these devices to lock on all CoaXPress Standard frequencies, from CXP-1 to CXP-12, at speeds of up to 12.5 Gbps.

A true all-in-one solution, this product family incorporates an integrated equalizer, a cable driver, integrated signal integrity test capability, and clock data recovery in a single, 16-pin package.
