Bernhard is a member of the technical staff (MTS) at Trinamic Motion Control, now part of Maxim Integrated. He joined the company more than 20 years ago and is one of its three founders. Bernhard designs stepper motor controller ICs. He is the primary developer of many Trinamic technologies, including StealthChop, StallGuard, and CoolStep, which enable smooth, silent, and efficient stepper motor operation. Bernhard holds a degree in information technology from the University of Hamburg.
