Hisao Munakata, Renesas

At Renesas, Munakata is Senior Director of the High-Performance Computing SoC Division. He has been engaged in software development for in-vehicle SoCs (R- Car) at Renesas, promoting the adoption of open-source-based software, such as the Linux OS, for embedded devices. Recently, he has been engaged in the construction of an advanced software development environment utilizing the cloud environment and the maintenance of a large-scale software execution environment for HPC. Over the past decade, he has worked to leverage various open-source software (OSS), including the Linux kernel, AGL, Xen, Zephyr, and COVESA, on Renesas automotive platforms. As a leading expert in open-source software and embedded Linux development, he has established strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in OSS communities and industry consortia.
