UltraZed-EV™ SOM is a high performance, full-featured, System-On-Module (SOM) based on the Xilinx Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC EV family of devices. Designed in a small form factor, the UltraZed-EV SOM on-board dual system memory, high-speed transceivers, Ethernet, USB, and configuration memory provides an ideal platform for embedded video processing systems. The UltraZed-EV provides easy access to 152 user I/O pins, 26 PS MIO pins, 4 highspeed PS GTR transceivers along with 4 GTR reference clock inputs, and 16 PL high-speed GTH transceivers along with 8 GTH reference clock inputs through three I/O connectors on the backside of the module.
Designers can simply design their own carrier card, plug-in UltraZed-EV SOM, and start their application development with a proven Zynq UltraScale+MPSoC sub-system. The Quad AR0231AT Camera FMC Bundle combines the Avnet Multi-Camera FMC module, four AR0231AT camera modules with GMSL serialization and a cable assembly as a complete add-on solution for vision-guided applications.The AR0231AT image sensor is an automotive-grade image sensor which uses the latest 3.0 micron Back Side Illuminated (BSI) pixel with ON Semiconductor’s DR-Pix ™ technology, which offers dual conversion gain for improved performance under all lighting conditions.
It includes LED Flicker Mitigation (LFM), and achieves 120dB of High-Dynamic Range with 4-exposure HDR.The Quad AR0231AT Camera FMC Bundle is meant to be used with Xilinx Zynq-UltraScale+ FMC carriers, including the ZCU102, the ZCU104, as well as the Avnet UltraZed EV SOM + Carrier.

This is a quite high end machine vision system from Avnet, Xlinix and onsemi. I would like to implement some of the latest machine algorithm on this system of course for some cool application using Xlinix reVISION stack. I would also like to implement some of deeplearning algorithms for machine visions. I would like to explore its application for medical systems. FInally want to integrate with other system using Ethernet stack and running high performance middleware like gRPC.
Incredible bundle. It’s great to get the cameras and the interface board in addition to the UltraZed-EV.
Looks like an interesting board for some of the ML based vision projects I am working on at this point.
