I want to be an data scientist in AI/ML branch hope to win it as it would be very helpful and fun to try it and use it to create a prototype of my own image processing and analysing tool and make some automated task do with it.

Agri bot can be designed with the onsemi AR0830 Module to detect the plant growth, crop yields, pests, with ML processor with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) will be best design for Agri-bot.

Looking forward to use AR0830 Hyoerlux in videoconferencing endpoints and facial recognition systems. Next in queue is, to start on retail analytics and facial recognition systems.

If I win this, I will equip drones with AR0830 to create a Disaster Response Drone Vision system for victim detection and detailed mapping.

Reimagining retail checkout with a smart vision system—where every item is detected instantly and billing happens effortlessly

In my previous project, I developed an AI-ML based smart cart that could identify products placed inside and automatically generate an e-bill—removing the need for manual scanning and long queues. While the concept worked well, I now want to elevate the system’s accuracy and speed by integrating real-time vision capabilities.

The onsemi AR0830 image sensor is exactly what I need to do that. With its high-resolution 4K imaging, back-side illumination (BSI), and enhanced dynamic range, it can handle the kind of challenging lighting conditions found in malls and stores. This ensures reliable product recognition even when items are partially covered, similar in appearance, or captured from different angles. The module’s ultra-low power consumption also makes it ideal for battery-powered carts that need to run all day.

Using this sensor, I aim to build a smarter, faster, and more accurate system that ensures mandatory e-checkout for every shopper—with a smooth, contactless experience. This module will help me move from a proof-of-concept to a practical, deployable retail solution.
