Yvonne Weitsch, Manager Aerospace & Defense Yvonne Weitsch received her Dipl. Dipl.-Ing . degree from the University of Stuttgart in 2005 and another Dr. Dr.-Ing . degree from the Technical University of Munich in 2011, both in electrical engineering. In 2011, she joined the Antenna Department of Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. She worked on antenna development, antenna measurement techniques as well as near near-field to far far- field transformation techniques and echo suppression. In 2018 and 2019, she worked closely with the Technology Management team focusing on satellite communications. Since 2019, she has been responsible for satellite testing in the market segment team for aerospace and defense.

Active Multi-Beam Antennas: Testing the Drivers for Advanced Satellite Concepts

In partnership with Rohde & Schwarz

Webinar Overview

The satcom industry's trends are largely driven by several key goals: high-throughput satellites (HTS) answer changing markets and user demands with enhanced throughput and a broad bandwidth, while mega-constellations are proposed and developed with the aim of providing truly global internet access and communication services to everyone around the world. Phased array antennas are critical in the development and implementation of both HTS and mega-constellations.

In this webinar from Rohde and Schwarz, viewers will first learn about the latest satcom industry trends as related to HTS and mega-constellations. The webinar then covers the principles, capabilities, and challenges related to phased array antennas in these particular applications, and, finally, the viewer will come to understand the test solutions and various turn-key solutions offered by Rohde & Schwarz.
