Beyond PCB Sync: ECAD-MCAD CoDesign for Harness and Multi-board

Single-board design is no longer the norm. This webinar demos harness synchronization and multiboard assembly coordination for complex products.

Webinar overview

Product designs keep getting more complex. Tighter enclosures, more functionality, stricter regulatory requirements, and heavier electromechanical integration all push past what a single PCB can do. Teams manage multiple boards, wire harnesses, connectors, and mechanical assemblies that need to stay in sync across electrical and mechanical domains.

Standard ECAD-MCAD CoDesign workflows handle board outline and component placement well. But when your product has multiple interconnected boards or a harness running through a mechanical assembly, coordination gets much harder.

This session covers two capabilities built for that challenge:

  • Harness synchronization — exchanges wire properties, connector details, and bundle lengths between Altium Designer and your MCAD tool, so both sides have what they need to produce accurate manufacturing documentation.
  • Multiboard assembly coordination — gives electrical engineers a full product assembly model from MCAD, so they can run electromechanical checks across the entire system without leaving their design environment.

Both are part of Altium Agile Teams, built for multidisciplinary hardware teams whose products couple electrical and mechanical design tightly across the full system.

This session is built for electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and engineering managers leading cross-discipline hardware teams.
