White Paper Overview

Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor technology offers many benefits to modern touchless sensing applications that use three-dimensional (3D) imaging and depth perception including robotics, industrial automation, quality inspection, automotive sensing systems, and more.

Optical ToF cameras, which are becoming increasingly prevalent due to their versatility, produce 3D depth images for sensing, opening up new possibilities with real-time, accurate distance measurement without requiring artificial intelligence algorithms. ToF is also far less limited than proximity sensors used in applications such as automatic faucets and doors.

In this informative whitepaper from Mouser, learn about the basics of ToF depth-sensing technology and how ADI’s ToF development platform can help alleviate some problems faced when it comes to traditional 2D technology.
