AAC’s Digital Datasheet video series introduces the specs and applications of components—both new and familiar—straight from their datasheets.

Alif Semiconductor Ensemble Family

The Alif Ensemble family brings you Next Generation 32-bit microcontrollers that are Edge AI-enabled, Secure, and architected for low power consumption.

The Ensemble family scales from single to multi-core and is made up of four series: E1, E3, E5, and E7.

The E1 series contains a 160MHz Cortex-M55 MCU core and an optional Neural Processing Unit capable of accelerating machine learning performance and power efficiency. It integrates up to 1.5MB of on-chip MRAM and 4.25MB of on-chip SRAM.

The E3 series provides additional performance with a second Cortex-M55 core and a second, wider NPU. The second Cortex-M55 MCU core runs at up to 400MHz.

The E3 Series integrates a class-leading up to 13.5MB of SRAM and 5.5MB of MRAM on-chip.

The E5 series is a triple-core fusion processor, a new class of embedded controllers that combines microprocessors and microcontrollers.

The E5 series contains a Cortex-A32 application core for high-level operating systems, two Arm Cortex-M55 cores for real-time processing, and two NPUs to accelerate AI/ML workloads.

The E7 series is a quad-core fusion processor offering maximum performance with two Cortex-A32 application cores, two Cortex-M55 Real-Time cores, and two NPUs.

The Ensemble family delivers up to 250 GOPS of machine learning performance; significantly more than any traditional microcontroller. Completing inference operations quickly creates huge power savings.

Ensemble’s multi-layered security includes an isolated enclave that provides hardware-based Root-of-Trust, secure key generation and storage, factory-provisioned Private Keys and secure debugging.

Integrated accelerated graphics and imaging further improve performance as well as power efficiency.

Alif Semiconductor’s Ensemble family is the new generation of 32-bit microcontrollers. Series scalability allows you to write software once and use it across multiple designs.
