K S Venkatraman Sr. Director, AI Computing

ABOUT

K S Venkatraman is Sr. Director for Artificial Intelligence Computing at NVIDIA Corporation, and an Executive member of the Workforce and Talent Development advisory board to the Governor of Oregon. His teams develop products that enable self-driving cars, natural language models for Generative AI, and recommendation systems. Venkat moved to Oregon in 1997 and has since hired, mentored, and trained hundreds of students in STEM, high-performance computing, and AI. Prior to NVIDIA and a brief stint at a startup company building systems-on-a-chip for digital televisions, he was a computer architect at Intel Corporation, responsible for developing innovative technologies for Pentium®4 and Core™ processors. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical engineering from Villanova University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication engineering from Birla Institute of Technology in India.
