Mark J. Hughes has been an avid tinkerer and voider-of-warranties since high school when he became an Amateur Radio Operator KE6WOB. He entered California State University Fullerton as an Electrical Engineering major; however, his interests quickly broadened to the field of physics in which he received his degree. Some of his designs are in scientific laboratories at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Ca. and experimental labs as far away as Australia. He has spent the last 15 years teaching in Southern California and consulting from California to the Carolinas. Current interests include electromechanical input and output devices and programmable microcontrollers.
