Maya Jeyendran grew up in Silicon Valley and has been immersed in the world of technology for as long as she can remember. She graduated with honors from Yale University, where she majored in Mathematics as well as Statistics and Data Science. Throughout her time at Yale, Maya volunteered for an organization called Community Health Educators and served as a teaching assistant for several mathematics and statistics classes. Maya interned at Facebook and Two Sigma Investments during her summers. She spent her final semester of college researching machine learning methods to aid in understanding whether or not partisan bias appeared in the of language of recent Supreme Court opinions. Maya is especially interested in learning more about the policy implications of emerging technologies as well as ways through which emerging technologies can responsibly and ethically improve society.
