Vanessa Samuel is an electrical engineer and technical writer. Her curiosity to learn how electronics work led her to study engineering at both Baylor University and the University of Colorado. During her education, Vanessa successfully completed an electrical engineering internship at which she analyzed motor connected horsepower, transformer sizes, real and reactive power, ampacity, Motor Control Centers (MCC's), and switchgear loading. She also became comfortable using ETAP to perform electrical load flow studies and to determine cable sizing. After successfully completing her bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado, she worked as a sales engineer for a global manufacturing company. She then moved to New York City to combine her passions for engineering and fashion, refining her technical writing skills in the process. Some of Vanessa's technological interests include power systems, consumer electronics, and 3D printing.
