2025 Configurable Logic Design Challenge Winners:

1. No DAC? No Problem: Building a DAC in the CLB A standout example of CLB ingenuity, this design uses the CLB to create a fully custom, high-performance peripheral—a 16-bit DAC in an 8-bit MCU.

2. The Ultimate hardware password manager: True Random Number Generator This innovative design delivers secure, firmware-free entropy generation by harnessing the CLB as a hardware-based true random number generator.

3. Binary Rate Multiplier using MCC Configurable Logic Block A precise and elegant use of the CLB to implement a binary rate multiplier, enabling dynamic, hardware-driven frequency control.

4. CLB Accelerated Circular FFT Audio Spectrum Visualizer The clever CLB integration enables efficient, real-time audio spectrum visualization with minimal CPU load.

5. Configurable Logic Block (CLB) based Open-Source Laser Tag Module An inventive use of the CLB to implement the SIRC protocol entirely in hardware, enabling a fully open-source, interoperable laser tag system with no firmware dependency.

Honorable Mention: The PIC & Lay Motel
