Digilent Arty S7 Board
Digilent’s Arty S7 board is a highly expandable development board based on the Xilinx Spartan-7 FPGA, which delivers improved performance, reduced power consumption, and enhanced security compared to previous Spartan families. The cost-optimized Spartan-7 FPGA is designed for use with the Vivado design suite and offers a 1 MSPS on-chip ADC, 120 DSP slices, and support for a MicroBlaze soft processor. The Arty S7 board provides a platform for designers to work with the Spartan-7 and easily add custom hardware, with connectors for Arduino shields and 4 Pmod ports, which can be used with Digilent’s Pmod IP blocks to greatly reduce development time. The board also offers a shared USB JTAG and UART port, 256 MB, or DDR3L and 16 MB of Quad-SPI Flash memory to store FPGA configuration and user data.
