Maxim Integrated MAX14827A Transceiver
Maxim’s MAX14827A is an IO-Link Device Transceiver with integrated regulators, drivers, and auxiliary I/O for use with industrial sensors and actuators. The transceiver offers low driver on-resistance and low power dissipation so it can be used with small sensors. The drivers, auxiliary output, and 24 V supply have reverse polarity protection and are tolerant to 60 V, allowing for smaller TVS diodes to be used. The integrated 3.3 V and 5 V regulators provide low-noise supply rails up to 30 mA to drive external loads, including analog and digital sensors and actuators, and larger loads can be driven using an external NPN transistor. The MAX14827A has a flexible control interface that allows for pin-control logic for use with switching sensors or an SPI interface for use with microcontroller-based sensors.
