This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Semtech TS1310x Neo-Iso Solid State Relays

Semtech TS13102 and TS13103 Neo-Iso Solid State Relays are galvanically isolated 60 V relays capable of harvesting energy from the load to extend battery life in IoT devices. The TS13102 is capable of harvesting energy even when its switch is closed and stores that energy in a system capacitor, while the TS13103 can transfer energy from the load supply across the isolation barrier to the system controller, eliminating the need for transformers and AC/DC supplies.

The devices use a single-wire interface and feature enhanced diagnostics. Each switch has three address pins to allow one control line to service up to 8 switches, and a programmable watchdog timer to ensure the load is disconnected if communication stops.
