NTX Embedded Launches Human Interface Platform With Design Support Program

Announced today, the platform includes displays, drive electronics, software and custom integration engineering services.

News October 28, 2025 by Duane Benson

Today, NTX Embedded introduces its new Octolux Embedded Control System for industrial human interface (HMI) applications. The Octolux platform includes customizable touchscreens with sizes ranging from 5” to 21” diagonal, control systems, and drive electronics. The company will demo the product at Embedded World, North America 2025, running Nov 4 - 6 in Anaheim, CA.

Octolux HMI solutions are designed for industrial and harsh environment applications. Implementations can be deployed directly on the factory floor and include touch screens that can be manipulated while wearing gloves, can operate in wet or dirty locations, and are bright enough for sun lit locations.

The Octolux platform includes:

  • Harsh environment/uncontrolled lighting capable touch screens

  • Control and drive electronics

  • Pre-designed hardware and software modules

  • Custom engineering design services from the NTX Embedded team

  • Optional in-house final product manufacturing

Units are available as a standard component for integration into customer equipment or as fully customized systems designed by NTX engineering services. The platform includes the display hardware and modular design components to allow for faster design and implementation.

More Than Just a Hardware Component

NTX Embedded is an integrated systems provider, offering products, design services, and in-house manufacturing. The Octolux platform is designed to deliver the latest in embedded HMI with a greater set of deployment options. In addition to the screens, the Octolux platform includes compatibility features for use with other embedded hardware and pre-validated hardware and software design blocks.

Products and modules can be implemented with customer engineering services or with NTX Embedded’s hardware and software design resources. NTX can provide complete turnkey service, including product, design, supply chain management, and final manufacturing.

By including the hardware and software design blocks in the Octolux platform, product design time can be significantly reduced. NTX engineers or customer engineers can develop complete products in as little as eight weeks, according to NTX Embedded.

The company says that the Octolux architecture enables its partners to bring complex industrial systems to market faster without sacrificing reliability or quality.
