Digi International XBee Multiprogrammer

Digi XBee XBIB-C development boards from Digi International are a platform for evaluating all the features of a Digi XBee module, enabling quick proof-of-concept development for IoT and other connected devices.

Digi XBee modules are widely used for their simple and secure connectivity and flexible, future-proof footprint options. Digi XBee modules are available for many protocols, including cellular, Bluetooth, ZigBee, and more.

The latest generation Digi XBee 3 modules feature enhanced MicroPython programmability, enabling smart end-nodes without an external MCU, and they’re supported by a complete suite of easy-to-use development, deployment, and management tools.

The Digi XBIB-C Development Board has a Digi XBee socket, with variants available for all Digi XBee form factors. The board offers USB Type-C connectivity to the host PC with a USB-to-UART bridge for communication between the host and Digi XBee module. Developers can disconnect the bridge and connect directly to the UART pins for testing or use with another development platform.

The on-board 3.3V regulator can be powered through the USB connection or with a 2V to 5V battery or external supply. A current measurement option allows developers to evaluate power consumption and determine battery life in battery-powered. The Digi XBee XBib-C also has an I2C humidity and temperature sensor that can be controlled by the Digi XBee module using MicroPython.

A 40-pin header provides access to pins on the Digi XBee module for hardware expansion and is compatible with the Digi XBee GPS daughterboard to quickly add location tracking. There is also a grove connector that can be used with Grove modules, such as sensors, displays, and more.
