NXP Semiconductors Crossover Processor
NXP Semiconductor’s i.MX RT106A crossover processor is a variant of the i.MX RT1060 family that simplifies adding voice control to smart devices in consumer, retail, and industrial applications. The i.MX RT106A includes a license to run NXP’s turnkey voice assistant software, allowing designers to easily add Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service to any design.
The NXP software solution includes a far-field audio front-end, a wake-word inference engine, and drivers for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The i.MX RT106A is based on an Arm Cortex-M7 core that can operate at up to 600MHz, providing high-performance processing capabilities and real-time response.
The crossover processor also integrates a DC-DC converter, graphics and display capabilities, and extensive memory interfaces, all in a 196-ball BGA package.
